SELF-CARE TIP #1: Self-Massage
Grab some peppermint oil and give yourself a delicious self-massage! Roll out all of those knots in your shoulders and neck and soothe your mind with some gentle temple massage.
SELF-CARE TIP #2: Gratitude
Write down 10 things you are grateful for. No matter what stress you encounter, or challenges you face, the holidays are a time for gratitude. By focusing on all that you have to be grateful for, you will automatically be put in a state of peace and joy. You can't be stressed and grateful at the same time! This quick practice will only take you two minutes but will have incredible results.
SELF-CARE TIP #3: DIY beauty
Take five minutes to make an easy, all-natural beauty product that you can use to exfoliate dry, cracked lips that often haunt us during colder weather. It will also get your lips ready for all that mistletoe ;)
DIY cranberry sugar lip scrub
In a mason jar or small bowl, mix together the following ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of coconut oil
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
- 2 cup sugar
- splash of unsweetened 100% cranberry juice
Rub together a small amount on your lips and wipe away with a tissue. You can also lick it away! It tastes great. This lip scrub can also be used on your body as an exfoliator to tighten and brighten your skin that often suffers during the winter.
